Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of TalentMaps. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and TalentMaps Inc. (“TalentMaps”, “we”, “us”). They govern your access to and use of the TalentMaps platform and related services. By registering for an account or using the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

TalentMaps is a talent mapping platform that allows recruitment agencies to enrich LinkedIn profiles via a third-party data API and generate branded PDF reports for their clients.

We provide the platform on an as-is basis. TalentMaps is not a product of, affiliated with, or endorsed by LinkedIn Corporation. Any LinkedIn data retrieved through the platform is obtained from publicly available sources.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and must be creating an account on behalf of an organisation (such as a recruitment agency). Individual consumer accounts are not supported.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must not share your credentials with individuals outside your organisation or allow unauthorised access to your account.

Each subscription is associated with one organisation. Multiple team members within the same organisation may be added to a single account.

4. Credits and Payment

The platform uses a credit system to meter API usage. Each profile enrichment costs 1 credit. Generating a report from already-enriched profiles does not consume credits.

Credits are purchased or allocated based on your subscription plan. Unless your plan explicitly states otherwise, unused credits do not roll over between billing periods.

Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial periods.

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time, with at least 30 days’ written notice to active subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You may only use TalentMaps for lawful recruitment and talent-mapping purposes. Specifically, you must not:

  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying data or infrastructure of the platform.
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise the platform or its outputs without our written consent.
  • Use the platform to process personal data in a manner that violates applicable data protection law, including the GDPR.
  • Submit LinkedIn URLs for any purpose other than legitimate talent mapping for your organisation’s clients.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the platform.

6. LinkedIn Data

TalentMaps retrieves only publicly available data from LinkedIn profiles. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of that data — including how you store, share, and act on it — complies with LinkedIn’s Terms of Service and all applicable laws, including GDPR and CCPA.

We make no warranty that LinkedIn profile data retrieved through the platform is accurate, complete, or current. Profile data reflects the public state of a LinkedIn profile at the time of the most recent cache refresh.

7. Intellectual Property

The TalentMaps platform, brand, name, software, and all related intellectual property are owned by TalentMaps Inc. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

Reports, talent maps, and other outputs you generate using the platform are yours. You retain full ownership of the content you create and are free to share them with your clients.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TalentMaps’ total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the platform is limited to the total fees you paid to TalentMaps in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days’ written notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice in the event of a material breach of these Terms, including violations of the Acceptable Use policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
